Comoros Project Receives Top Marks in Mid-Term Inspection

The China aid Comoros Gymnasium and Swimming Center Project, undertaken by Hebei Construction Engineering Group, has successfully passed its mid-term inspection organized by the Ministry of Commerce, earning top ratings in both quality and contractor performance.
The eight-day inspection, conducted from April 14 to April 21, involved a thorough review by an expert panel covering structural quality, safety protocols, construction practices, schedule adherence, and overall project management. The panel confirmed that the main structure and secondary works fully complied with design specifications, meeting all required standards for quality, safety, and documentation. The Group was consequently rated as an "Outstanding" general contractor.
The project, situated in Mitsoudjé, Comoros, includes a 2,000-seat indoor gymnasium and a 1,000-seat swimming center. Once completed, it will be capable of hosting regional international sporting events, while also boosting Comoros's sports infrastructure, supporting local economic growth, and further strengthening China-Comoros friendly cooperation.
